  Confused about this family! Irish records show William and Eliza Wallace married in 1867 with following children born in Castlefinn: Eliza Jane & Sarah Anne (twins) 1867 Unnamed son 1870 Bella 1872 Unnamed son 1878 There is also a Rebecca Crawford who married William Semple in 1900 and died the flowing year aged 24 i.e. born 1876 or 1877/ Cnot find birth record but her marriage cert gives her father as Willaim Crawford, Hillhead and 1901 census shows her as daughter of William (77) and Elize (58), siblings Lizzie J (33) and Wiiliam (22) . William would tie in with unnamed son b 1878 A letter from Eliza Wallace, Hillhead, Castlefinn inquires about her son James who died in WW1, service number 4573. Service Record for James states he was born in Glasgow. Search of Scottish records show William Crawford and Elizabeth neé Wallace married in Scotland in 1875 with following children: Agnes Alderdice Wallace Crawford 09 Feb 1876 James Ballantyn Crawford 02 Jul 1877 (matches age on Service Record) William Crawford 19 May 1879 Annie Spalding Scott Crawford 22 Jan 1883 Helen Rankin Scott Crawford 03 Jun 1885 Looks like two couples called Wiiliam Crawford and Elizabeth, one in Scotland and one in Ireland but Scottish Eliza, mother of James, living in Hillhead in 1915 according to his service record.
